This program is to provide training in all phases of the Food Service Industry including: Orientation, Safety and Sanitation, Selection of Equipment, Terms, Menu Planning, Food Preparation, Relative Mathematics, Occupational Competencies, Job Placement, Supervisory Activities, Advanced and New Methods of Food Preparation, Inventory of Cost Controls and Studies of Management. The student gains actual work experience in preparing food for the snack bar line, cafeteria line and salad bar. Students may volunteer to work evening banquets when scheduled and receive minimum wages with their training.
