The Community State Bank Donates to Kiamichi Tech’s Police Officer Training Academy

POTEAU, Okla. – Kiamichi Tech’s Workforce and Economic Development Center is meeting training needs for local law enforcement through its CLEET accredited Police Officer Training Academy. The Community State Bank has supported law enforcement students through scholarship funding since the program’s inception in 2020. TCSB has continued its support of the program this year by donating scholarship funds to support several local peace officers in the training Academy.

“TCSB is pleased to be a supporter of Kiamichi Tech’s Police Academy,” said Bob Reed, Chairman of the TCSB Board. “Since its inception, we’ve supported, and will continue to support, this program and its mission to train and equip quality men and women in the law enforcement profession.”

“Kiamichi Tech is grateful to have community supporters like The Community State Bank,” said Shannen Hamby, Workforce and Economic Development Coordinator. “From day one, Mr. Reed, Mr. Spradley, and TCSB’s leadership team has generously supported our program. We have prioritized setting the highest standard in all aspects of this training program, and do not take our opportunity to train future law enforcement officers lightly.”

The Academy is a 17-week program covering all facets of law enforcement education from law enforcement driver training and firearms safety to defensive tactics and criminal investigations.

“We are passionate about this program, but our success wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of TCSB,” Hamby said.
