The district provides 12-month employees 3-weeks (15-days) paid vacation each year. Vacation leave is accrued on a monthly basis calculated at 10-hours per month.

The district provides 12-days of sick leave each year for 12-month employees and 10-days sick leave each year for 10-month employees. Sick leave is vested each year on July 1.

Personal leave is available to 10-month staff and 12-month support staff. A total of 3-days is vested each July 1. A salary deduction is made each time personal leave is used. For an exact amount refer to the KTC Faculty/Staff Handbook.

The district makes available 2-days of Emergency leave each year. Emergency leave is granted in unforeseeable situations in which it would be unreasonable to require employees to be on the job in view of the circumstances.

The district provides up to 5-days of Bereavement leave for a death in the immediate family.

The district provides up to 9 paid holidays each year.

Kiamichi Tech participates in the Teachers Retirement System (TRS), a defined benefit plan in Oklahoma. Contributions are made, on your behalf, by the district and results in NO out of pocket expense. The total contribution made by the district on your behalf is 7.5% of your gross salary. An employee who retires with a minimum of 10-years service with KTC, whose age and years of creditable service equal 80 or 90 points shall be paid an incentive equal to their hourly rate of pay for up to 60-days of available unused sick and up to 22 1/2 days of unused vacation leave. Other retirement savings options available to employees include 403(b) and 457 plans. Each of these retirement savings plans are tax deferred annuities and are supported by employee contributions. Full‐time employees who have a minimum of five (5) consecutive years of service with the district is eligible to receive a one‐time incentive upon the completion of final employment contract with criteria met listed in policy.
