Oklahoma State School Board Association

The Board of Education shall have membership in the OSSBA as a means of promoting the cause of public education in Oklahoma.  

Citizens’ Advisory Group

The Board of Education ay appoint ad hoc citizens’ group in an advisory capacity to the Board of Education. After the group have fulfilled its specific responsibility to the Board of Education, it shall be properly dismissed.  

Advisory Groups to the Board of Education shall serve as a two-way channel of communication and shall have the following purposes 

1. To study any questions concerning the School System submitted to it by the Board of Education.
2. To help in interpreting public opinion to the Board of Education.
3. To assist the Board of Education in explaining the issues and problems to the community.
