Student Highlight Section for Early Care and Education—McAlester Campus

Students from McAlester Campus – Early Care and Education Program attended the State FCCLA Convention in April 2014, where Erika Christman and Tabbatha Schultz were recognized on stage as State Winners – in the Early Childhood Event - taking 1st place in both the Secondary and Post- Secondary divisions. Caitlyn Phillips placed 3rd on the State Level. Both Erika and Tabbatha will represent KTC at the National Contest in San Antonio.

Shavonna Jennings and Erin Reed were both selected to attend the OSU Family and Consumer Sciences Education Academy this summer! The schedule provides numerous opportunities to focus on the aspects of the careers in Family and Consumer Sciences- in which the outlook remains strong. They will also receive a $1000 scholarship in conclusion of the academy.
