EmployABILITY completers 2-7-2019

Three students from Kiamichi Technology Center Talihina campus recently received their certificate for successfully completing the program: Microburst Learning EmployABILITY Soft Skills. These students began the program in 2018 and have shown exemplary attendance records, behaviors and proven to be true Involvers in their classroom and communities.

Each student participating in the Microburst Learning EmployABILITY Soft Skills Program earned the Employers’ Choice Certificate. The Certificate is endorsed by: Microburst Learning, the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, the Mechanical Contractors Association of South Carolina, the South Carolina Association of Career and Technical Education, and the North Carolina Association of Career and Technical Education Trade and Industrial Division and recently Oklahoma CareerTech.

Therefore, earning this certification requires intensive work from the student. Also, and even more importantly, the Certificate must be approved by a Microburst Learning EmployABILITY Soft Skills certified instructor. This means that the student has passed all 10 certification assessments with a silver or gold rating and the instructor has observed the student routinely demonstrating the acceptable behaviors like being on time, completing projects on time, working as a good team member, communicating, resolving conflict in an appropriate way, demonstrating a positive attitude, communicating (both listening and explaining) in a positive and engaging manner, planning and organizing their work and demonstrating initiative.
