Students Receives Horatio Alger Scholarship | talihina

Sarah Butler, Gabriella Carter and Priscilla Graham, all students in the Business and Administration Information Technology program at the Kiamichi Technology Centers-Talihina campus, were awarded the Horatio Alger National Career and Technical scholarship for the 2017-18 school year. The students are eligible to receive up to $2,500 to pursue a career or a technical certificate. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.  All scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.

Since 1984, Horatio Alger Association Members and Friends have been funding scholarships to support deserving young people overcome their adversity and pursue their dreams through higher education. So far, the Association has awarded more than $125 million to approximately 20,000 students. The Association administers scholarships for career & technical education, bachelor's degree programs, major specific programs and college specific programs. Horatio Alger Members support promising young people with the resources and confidence needed to overcome adversity and pursue their dreams through higher education.
