KTC Graduates Fourteen From practical nursing program

Fourteen Practical Nursing Students from Kiamichi Technology Center in McAlester will graduate in the Seminar Center at Kiamichi Technology Center on Thursday June 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. According to program instructors, Rebecca Dixon and Sonya Anderson, the Practical Nursing Class is an eleven month program, where students compile 1,508 hours of class time and clinical hours. Students attend classes Monday-Friday for eleven months and must pass a rigorous exam in order to graduate.

Guest speaker for the graduation program is Kevin Priddle, Vice Chairman of the McAlester Regional Health Center Foundation and the former Mayor of McAlester.

The nursing profession is growing at a faster than average pace due to an ever increasing aging population. The need for nurses continues to grow throughout Oklahoma and the United States.

The next Practical Nursing Program begins on July 11, 2018 and will continue for eleven months until June of 2019.
