Kiamichi Technology Centers received the Gold Star Award for the 13 th year at Oklahoma Summit, the 52nd annual CareerTech conference held at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City. This award is designed to recognize technology center districts that have met rigid and demanding criteria demonstrating a high level of excellence.

“It is an honor for our school to receive the Gold Star Award,” said Superintendent Shelley Free. “The award is a special achievement for our staff, board members and the communities served by Kiamichi Technology Centers.”

The Gold Star Award provides recognition to districts with exemplary programs designed to meet a broad spectrum of community needs.

“Our staff works diligently to meet the established Gold Star requirements, but we know we could not have received this award without the support of the local stakeholders who attend our classes, utilize our services and support our mission,” said Free.
