The Board of Education at Kiamichi Technology Centers voted to appoint Justin Kennedy as director of the Talihina campus beginning July 1.

“I am excited to be in this role at the Talihina campus,” said Kennedy. “I have lived and worked in the Talihina area almost my entire life, but I look forward to making new relationships with our sending schools, adult students and potential employers to foster growth in the area.”

Kennedy comes to Kiamichi Tech from Buffalo Valley School where he served as superintendent for the past eight years.

“KTC is pleased to have Justin’s leadership at the Talihina campus,” said Superintendent Shelley Free. “His personal connection with the schools and communities served by the Talihina campus will ensure that workforce and training needs of the area are met.”

Kennedy is a Whitesboro High School graduate and attended Eastern Oklahoma State College before continuing his education at Oklahoma State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education. He also holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Southern Nazarene University.
