Practical Nursing
Full-Time Option and Part-Time Option
The KTC Practical Nursing Program is for Adult Students only. The applicant must be 18 years old when the program begins and hold a high school diploma or a graduate equivalency degree (GED). This is a post-secondary program designed to provide students training in academics and clinical skills. The full-time option is a twelve-month program that begins in July each year. The part-time option is an eighteen-month program that lasts from August to May for two consecutive years. This program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. Graduates of this state-approved program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), which if successfully passed, will provide excellent employment possibilities as a LPN.
KTC Practical Nursing Program uses a self-managed application process in which it is the applicant's responsibility to submit all required documents to KTC in one complete packet by the deadline. A personal interview and a pre-admission examination are also required as part of the selection process. Application Packets are available from January to April 15th each year (excluding holidays and weekends). Please feel free to call the school if you have any questions regarding the admissions process.
